Foundations Level 1 – 200 HR Teacher Training

Our mission is a unified commitment to excellence and innovation in all trainings, programs and in-class experiences. Due to the incredible depth and richness of the curriculum that far exceeds current industry standards, we offer a student experience that is unparalleled. Led by a Senior Facilitation team, our 200-hour yoga teacher training is one of the most comprehensive courses available, and the foundation to becoming an authentic, effective and impactful yoga teacher.

Our teaching approach is to invite our students in an ongoing process of self exploration where we step away from standardised aesthetics, alignment and dogma to move more deeply into sensing, feeling and directly experiencing ourselves and our bodily knowing.

This training is appropriate for the serious student who would like to start teaching yoga, as well as the student who would like to deepen their own knowledge & personal practice.

The Core Life 200 HR curriculum trains you to deliver a strong well-rounded group class interweaving the physical & philosophical components of the practice. This program focuses on informed alignment based on a sound knowledge of anatomy and contemporary movement principles; on experiential insight into asana, pranayama and yoga nidra; and on practicality when dealing with yoga philosophy and teaching methodology.

We encourage a creative focus that will unlock each student’s individual potential and unique expression. This involves a powerful journeying inwards to find your own voice with which to lead others along the path with skill and authenticity. Through this process, the you will find the inspiration and intuition to craft a practice that educates, uplifts and heals others.

What Previous Students Say

“Core Life Yoga Training,  as a participant, guides and encourages you on a journey of body to see what’s possible within your vehicle and how you can flex and bend to release and relax. Within the teacher- training, you will develop an understanding of yoga anatomy, biomechanics, meditation, pranayama and yogic philosophy to know the way to truly connect, mind and body, by experiencing the impact of delving deeper into uncharted spaces of yourself. It’s here that a true self-understanding for what’s possible can be truly explored. Get ready to truly embody all that is Core Life Yoga. There is no choreography, set sequences and definitely no cookie cutter’s in sight. You will learn the fundamentals of movement, and how you can challenge yourself to move past your own boundaries, physically and emotionally. Understand how to properly sequence, teach, project your vision and voice for a class, and through all this, understand yourself and how and why you move and think, greater and deeper than before. You will learn how to nourish and explore your teaching strengths, to truly find your own connection with yoga, nourishing these aspects to gain confidence in your own self expression. You will find your own voice, and sense of expression as a yoga teacher, so that you will not only be a stand out yoga teacher, but you will be able to flourish in a new exciting space on the other side. Who know’s what’s possible? Go on, you know you want to! You won’t regret it!”   –   Holly Swanton – Occupational Therapist, Cairns, QLD

“I loved all of my training experience throughout the course. The course is real, the teachings are real and lead you to being a real teacher. Training over a longer period of time allowed me to absorb and feel into the practices and teachings, this was especially important in the practices that I had no or little experience in. Having the intensive gave you the freedom from the everyday goings on of life and encouraged you to totally immerse yourself for 6 days in all things yoga and all things you. The trainers in this course are highly knowledgeable in their fields and extremely competent teachers. If you are committed to deepening your yoga understanding and practice or want to become a sound, safe and fully competent teacher then I would without doubt recommend this course”

What style of Yoga will I be trained in?
About Deep Core Flow

“Deep Core Flow connects us to our innate power, softens our thinking mind, encourages us to move more deeply into sensing, feeling, and directly experiencing our authentic ‘core’ selves, uncovering a sense of authority to our bodily-knowing. Guided by discriminative mind and profound self-acceptance, fuelled by curiosity and desire for greater depth and potential, Deep Core Flow is playful, absorbing and transformational”  Jen Hamilton, Creator of Deep Core Flow

Circle-2.pngDrawing from hatha, vinyasa yoga and somatic movement systems as well as the latest science available in anatomy and biomechanics the principles of Deep Core Flow enhances every style and level of yoga practice, the core techniques and practices apply equally to dynamic vinyasa and more gentle forms of yoga.

Deep Core Flow is designed to access the deepest, innermost support structures of your body, offering an inherent lightness, power and support in movement alongside a healthy range of motion and stability.

Deep Core Flow cultivates precision, alignment, balance, flexibility, grace, power, strength and stability. Somatic inquiry, breathing and mindfulness practices fuse with slow flowing vinyasa, creating an inquiry-driven exploration of yoga into how your structure really wants to move.

Deep Core Flow is an expression of movement that creates deeper connectivity and strength so we may move through all of life with ease, stability and agency.

What is Flow?

The ultimate aim of yoga practice is to be fully present in the here and now. The tendency of the mind is to distract from the moment.  When we observe how we scatter between the past and future, we can hold a space for recognising, allowing and releasing these aspects of self.  We can then experience the ‘whole’ self,  as a flow of thoughts, feelings and movement from one moment to the next. Flow is achieved when body, mind, and spirit are at one, when the present moment is so compelling that everything else disappears. Time slows, ego dissolves, and fear fades. The state of flow is a meditation. It is this state that we hope to achieve during our practice of Deep Core Flow.
