Jen’s favourite way to teach and practice Yoga. This class provides poses that range from gentle to challenging, but done with stable, self-centering energy. The pace of this class is deliciously slower and emphasis is placed on focused alignment and maintaining the balance of slow satisfying breath work with the steadiness of mind.
Class will vary with with silent periods of inquiry while holding poses, and at other times moving with fluidity. The toned-down speed of this classes does not, however, mean that the poses are any less beneficial for building, flexibility, strength, stability, and postural integrity than other styles. This slower pace is definitely more conducive to the meditative practices of mindfulness of action and awareness of breathing. This makes it particularly well-suited to newer students, or for those who desire deep focus and awareness for body and mind connection.
