Jen Hamilton began practicing yoga in her teens, is owner of Core Life Yoga and has been teaching yoga for 25 years. Jen began her career in the fitness industry in 1991. From 1996 to 2006 Jen operated her own fitness centre in Cairns Qld where she worked as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, yoga teacher and taught Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness. Since 2006, Jen has dedicated herself to teaching Yoga with public classes, retreats, and 200 HR Yoga Teacher Trainings. Her teaching methods fuse the western knowledge of the body (anatomy, kinesiology and physiology) with the eastern tradition of yoga. This approach allows for anatomical individuality and fosters self-inquiry through the cultivation of each person’s inner reference system. You will experience a breath centred, anatomically focused yoga practice that offers an exploration of movement where you can investigate, adapt and evolve your practice to honour your individual needs. Jen's teachings are accessible, precise and intelligently crafted to optimise your yoga experience. Jen brings a warm and light hearted style to her classes, retreats and trainings. She encourages self awareness, curiosity and self compassion to inspire personal growth and positive change. Jen believes that yoga is valuable tool to our modern lives, one that can offer physical well-being, emotional balance, and a deeper awareness from which to live our lives. Jen is a 1500Hr Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Australia, she leads public classes, retreats and is director and facilitator of the Core Life 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Training.
