Hiking Adventures

This part of the world is one of my absolute favourites for hiking. I’ve travelled to Queenstown and Wānaka many times and am so excited to share some of my favourite trails with you during this retreat. You’ll have plenty of free time to explore on your own or join one of our optional group hikes.

Group Hikes

During the retreat, we’ll offer two optional group hikes — gentle to intermediate-level walks designed to complement our yoga schedule and offer nourishing time in nature with our group.

Mt Iron Track
A gentle 4.5 km loop just minutes from Wānaka, with a steady climb to panoramic views across the town and surrounding peaks. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to wander Wānaka and for lunch and shops.

Lake Hāwea River Track
A scenic, easy-gradient 12 km trail that follows the turquoise Hāwea River between Lake Hāwea and Albert Town. Enjoy peaceful open landscapes and mountain views, with lunch in Albert Town and transfers back to our accommodation.

Trails to Explore in Your Free Time

Grandview Mountain Track
A lesser-known gem with expansive views over the Upper Clutha Basin. Approx. 5–6 hours return. Intermediate level.

Lakeside Walks
Easy, accessible trails meandering along the shores of Lake Hāwea — within walking distance of our accommodation or just a short 5-minute drive.

Rob Roy Glacier Track
A breathtaking 10km alpine walk through beech forest to a glacier viewpoint. Approx. 3–4 hours return. Moderate level.

Isthmus Peak Track
A more challenging 16 km return hike, ascending over 1,200 metres and rewarding you with spectacular views of both Lake Hāwea and Lake Wānaka. Approx. 5 to 6 hours return.
