Mastering Simplicity
Byron Bay Hinterland Yoga Retreat Spring 2025
Date: Thursday 11th September to Sunday 14th September
(3 nights/4 days)
Location: Diptipur Retreat, Byron Hinterland
Mastering Simplicity
Sometimes, the simplest yoga practices are the most transformative.
In this special retreat, Jen invites you to explore a shared inquiry into core asana, breath, and meditative practices. These foundational techniques form the bedrock of a sustainable, enjoyable yoga practice—regardless of age or experience.
Small, gentle movements—when approached with awareness—can create profound shifts, restoring elasticity, balance, and ease.
Yoga asana can be distilled into simple “seed” forms—foundational movements from which all postures emerge and evolve.
With this understanding, we can adapt these movements to suit our own purposes and intentions, creating a practice that is both personal and transformative. Through subtle adaptations, variations, and creative sequencing, these simple forms offer infinite possibilities. By attuning to the body’s innate wisdom, we cultivate a practice that is intuitive, nourishing, and self-sustaining.
Held in a space of natural beauty in Byron Bay HInterland, surrounded by forests and the strength of yoga community, this retreat offers a sanctuary for deep listening, renewal and joy.
Limited to just 10 participants for an intimate and personalised experience.

About Jen
For over three decades, my career has been devoted to community health and wellness. My career has seen me as proprietor of a fitness centre and yoga studios, director of teacher training programs, delivering domestic and international yoga retreats and yoga and mindfulness initiatives in the corporate and educational sectors.
My approach is informed by many hours of practice, extensive training, research and a deep curiosity about the human experience to alleviate suffering and uncover potential. I bring a rich and lived understanding of yoga, somatics, and embodiment as pathways healing and growth.
I am a mother of three girls, so I understand the challenges of balancing work, family, and self-care. My approach to yoga is practical and accessible, helping busy people integrate its benefits into daily life.
I have witnessed firsthand how yoga transforms and heals—both in myself and my students. Yoga has been instrumental in my recovery from a serious injury and has served as an anchor through challenging personal and family experiences. Its positive ripples have extended into my parenting, relationships, and sense of self-worth.
Through my retreats and classes, I create a welcoming space filled with laughter and lightness—embracing you just as you are. Together, we nurture joy, love, creativity, personal power, and a deep connection to self.
